The spirit of ATFEST

As posted at my Multiply.

---

For 3/4 of my school life, I spent it in ADZU. Di obvious na may loyalty award to. HAHA. I got used to almost EVERYTHING about ADZU: the Holy Spirit mass every first day of classes, St. Ignatius Week, First Friday Masses, Grade School Night/High School Night, ADZU Fiesta, Choral Recitation Contests, etc etc etc. Bien manada paaaa.

This is the first time I'm not doing those things. Things that I got sick of, thinking that they're routinary, useless. But now that I'm not part of it anymore, I terribly miss it. [nagdrama ba naman]

T'is the season that the whole ADZU community is celebrating its fiesta, in line with the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Sadly, I won't be celebrating it anymore.

So it's pretty self-explanatory. These are few of the things that I miss most about ADZU Fiesta:

1. Opening Parade or Torch Parade. Oh the joy of walking around city proper, cheering and shouting [insert section here] while shielding our heads from the falling poops of the pigeons resting on the electric wires. HAHAHA.

2. Cheerdance Competition. I'm a fan of the Synergy [BSN Cheering Squad] and they have the most victories in cheerdancing. I think their winning streak was cut short a few years ago because of Business Management. Since I'm taking up BSN and most of my Brebeuf classmates are also under College of Nursing, I'm siding on BSN. Haha. Biased.

3. Sports Activities. I will never forget the games we had for Soccer and Futsal representing the high school. I will never forget the trauma that I experienced when I tried saving Queenzle Natividad's goal that almost broke my fingers. I will never forget the numerous saves that I did during our game vs BSN. Bastaaa. All I can say is, all the good players are from the College of Liberal Arts.

4. Food from the Booths. Aaah, the aroma of barbecued foods filling the school grounds. The P30 isaw that I buy in the morning and in the afternoon. The mixed skittles that I drink and go high on sugar. The barbecued hotdog. Too much carcinogens. HAHA

5. Grade School Night/High School Night. I don't really party but during these times, it's nice to spend it with friends and either dance or just sit at the bleachers and watch the people dance. Bisya mga hente bigaun pati mga hente tan scandal, mga college ta entra pati mga gate crashers. It only applies to High School Night, though.

6. Dancesport Competition. Pambato del Brebeuf, Margie and JP! Wooo! Though they're under the Modern Standard, you can really see how graceful they are but the Latin American Standard is much more exciting. :D

7. Alumni Night. Though it was my first time to attend one last year kasi dad ni Lance, batch 1982, it was fun to watch the fireworks at night. Especially if you're with your loved ones. Ayiiii.

8. FREE TIME. You can do anything you want without your attendance being checked and accumulating demerits. HAHAHA

---

I should've added Rappelling but I never got the chance to try. For one, Lance prohibited me from trying. KJ GAD KAAAAAA! HAHAHA

---

Oh well. Good luck Brebeuf! Mapa-BSN man kamo or otro course.

Pero era gana BSN na cheerdance. WAHAHAHA! I'll be watching you on YouTube or the AtFest08 website.

OMG.

Okay. I am totally convinced that I was a creepy stalker in my past life. I have uncontrollable tendencies to stalk people. Starting from school all the way to their blogs. Is that a bad thing? I even dream of my stalk-ees. Maybe I should get myself checked. Or maybe contact a shrink. I am starting to let loose.

Ateneo Fiesta is coming up. Ever since Fr. Morelos got the prestigious Presidential seat that onced belonged to Fr. Kreutz, Ateneo Fiesta went from the most anticipated time of the year to I-wish-this-will-end-now time of the year. But I'm looking forward to college night though, and I WILL BE GETTING MY HANDS ON THOSE OOH-LALA ATENEO STATEMENT SHIRTS. And yes, chorale contest. Needless to say, people from the Nursing department are on to our necks. They're pressuring us to win. AUGH.

---

Yeahs. I am going to change my laptop's OS from Linux to XP tomorrow. I can't wait! The thing I hate most about Linux is the fact that it doesn't have a desktop. With XP OS, my desktop will be so having DBSK as its image. MUHAHAHA.

And did I mention that I already received my scholarship money? It was 7000. HAHA. I spent most of it on a new wardrobe: 2 long shirts, 1 sparkly blouse, 4 pairs of pants, 1 pair of sneakers, 1 pair of pink flats, earrings. <3 I am a shopping whore, bite me.

---

I might be posting lots of pictures in my multiply account. Ateneo Fiesta is in the air babes. ISAW!!! XD

---

3 people commented on my new Friendster profile picture. HAHA. Thanks dudes. :D [Nina Janeen is contagious! By the way, I have sparkly purple nails courtesy of Nina Janeen. <3]

---

And in case you're wondering, I changed my time stamp from PST to KST; Korean Standard Time. Their time is only an hour ahead of the Philippines, and since I'm a self-proclaimed Korean citizen, chyeah. :]

Booklist and others

I never expected to really like Nursing. It's like it's made for me. I am so happy with how things are at school. In fact, I'm doing great. Before, I loathed going to school because of the people and the environment. But now I'm used to it and I can see the hidden goodness in my blockmates. This sem, I am blessed with professors who almost equal [maybe even surpass] the best teachers I've had in Ateneo [I'm not comparing, though].

I really like Anatomy and Physiology, both lab and lecture. I kind of have the edge because most [if not all] terms are very familiar to me. It has already been in my system since childhood so there's nothing to worry about really.

And in terms of the using the microscope, I never knew how much I was "skilled" in handling one. Maybe if I even took Microbiology in UST, I wouldn't have that much of a problem. But that might further jeopardize my eyesight.

My life is still normal. I am so proud of having my first violation in RLE: wearing earrings. I was very dazed that day, I forgot to take them off. HAHA.

---

Out of curiosity, I started reading Twilight during sembreak, before my immersion. Primarily because my ate bugged me to. I'm surprised because I finished it in less than 3 days. It's actually pretty good but I don't see a point comparing it to Harry Potter. I bought New Moon this Tuesday and finished it today. Now I'm starting with Eclipse. Man, I can't stop. Haha. It's not like I'm turning into a crazy fangirl or anything. It's just easy to read, just like Cirque du Freak but much longer.

My official booklist [in no particular order]:

1. Brisingr - Christopher Paolini
2. Breaking Dawn - Stephenie Meyer
3. Rant - Chuck Palahniuk
4. Cirque Du Freak: Book 4 - latest - Darren Shan
5. Day Watch/Night Watch/Twilight Watch - Sergei Lukyanenko
6.Chinese Cinderella: True Story of an Unwanted Daughter - Adeline Yen Mah
7. The Other Boleyn Girl - Philippa Gregory
8. Ermita - F. Sionil Jose
9. Mac Arthur - Bob Ong
10. Choke - Chuck Palahniuk

me and jesus - stellar kart

When there's nowhere else to turn
All your bridges have been burned
Feels like you've hit rock bottom
Don't give up it's not the end
Open up your heart again
When you feel like no one
Understands where you are

[chorus]
Someone loves you even when you don't think so don't you know you got
Me and Jesus by your side through the fight you will never be alone on your own you got me and Jesus

After all that we've been through
Be now you know I've doubted too
But everytime my head was in my
Hands you said to me
Hold on to what we got
This is worth any cost so
Make the most of life
That's borrowed
Love like there's no tomorrow
